Central Plains Regional Hockey - Head Coach AAA or other team staff positions

The Central Plains Region, located in Central Manitoba and based out of Portage la Prairie 40 minutes west of Winnipeg on the Trans-Canada Highway is seeking dynamic leaders to serve as Head Coaches within our Regional Hockey Program. Age ranges U15 and U18.

We’re seeking Head Coaches for the following teams:

U15AAA Female coaching staff
U15AAA Male coaching staff
U18AAA Female coaching staff
U18AAA Male coaching staff

With the high level of time and effort required to operate/coach “AAA” programs Central Plains is offering an Excellent Honorarium plus Expense Package.
 

QUALIFICATIONS
• Applicants must have the appropriate coaching certification as outlined in the Hockey Manitoba Coaching Requirements for the 2024-25 season.
• Must possess a high level of proficiency and understanding of the various Hockey Canada Pathway's.
• Coaches will be organized, have high ethical standards, be committed to player development and have a general understanding of child development levels.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with assistant coaches and players.
• Coaching and player development skills are essential.
• Ability to develop season-long development and practice plans.

Central Plains’ coaching staffs report directly to the Central Plains Board. Please provide a coaching cover letter and resume to centralplainsminorhockey@gmail.com Coaches may be asked for their seasonal plans as part of the selection process. If you are including bench staff, please list qualifications and attributes of your coaching team. All final decisions in regards to members to any Capitals Coaching staff will be made by Central Plains Minor Hockey Board. The Central Plains Region reserves the opportunity to interview potential coaching applicants if deemed necessary. Only successful applicants for the interview process will be contacted.
